COFFEE TABLE BOOKS

COFFEE TABLE BOOKS

We always end up traveling a bunch during the holidays. With this uptick in travel I try to keep on hand are few hostess gift ideas. My current favorite being, coffee table books. Not exactly sure where this obsession came from but I cannot go into a bookstore without making a beeline for the oversized hardcover book display. Fortunately, by gifting coffee table books I am able to indulge without feeling too guilty.

This holiday I was particular loving these three beauties.

IN THE COMPANY OF WOMEN by Grace Bonney

Feeling disheartened by the election I found comfort in this book. From conversations with HBO’s Insecure Issa Roe to Rifle Paper Co. owner Anna Bond this ode to ladies is insightful and beautiful written. Author Grace Bonney and founder of Design*Sponge, has complied a truly stunning collection of powerful and inspiring women. A perfect gift that reminds us, the future STILL is female.

FLOWERS FOR THE HOME by Grayson Handy and Tracey Zabar

As if the knockout arrangement on the cover isn’t enough to convince you to clear space for this hardcover, the inside is home to equally exquisite blooms. Sorted by region, New York City’s acclaimed floral designer Grayson Handy offers impressive arrangements you can easily try your hand at, even providing color schemes to complete the look. The purple makes this book a great accent color for any room.

STYLED by Emily Henderson

I have been following Emily Henderson’s blog for a handful of years now and jumped at the chance to purchase her book. This gold fold spined book boasts a section for each area of the house with quick how-to’s scattered throughout; including my favorite and the reason why I ultimately decided I needed to own this book, the credenza: styling from start to finish.
